Well my work is really at the grass root level of creating the ideas for the research…it involves the initial stages of questioning and trying to solve a problem.

Hi @827sped32. Most of the research done at the moment will rarely be implemented straight away. However, it can help in future research and development of theories and ideas

Okay so I am helping astronomers identify molecules in outer space by calculating what wavelengths with intensities(linelists think of it as a barcode) different molecules will emit….

But helping people on earth? Yes….this is where I struggle. Post PhD if I was to continue research I would like to apply my skills & knowledge of quantum chemistry into a more applied area such as medicine.

Outside of research-I hope that the teaching I do to undergraduates and for The Brilliant Club is helpful and inspiring!
